What visitors say

“My daughter stayed at B&B HOTEL Alicante and had a very positive experience, which was one of the reasons I chose to book the hotel myself for a visit to Alicante. Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances, my daughter had to return to the Netherlands earlier than planned and I could no longer make the trip. I had booked a non-refundable rate, so I fully understood that the hotel was under no obligation to refund me. I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and was genuinely impressed by their response. They replied very quickly, showed great understanding and offered to cancel my reservation with a full refund as an exception. This is what excellent customer service looks like. You really discover how good a company is when something doesn’t go according to plan. Based on both my daughter’s positive stay and the excellent service I received, I would definitely choose B&B HOTEL Alicante again. Special thanks to Laura and the team! ❤️”

“I rarely write bad reviews, but my experience at B&B Hotel Alicante was extremely disappointing. First, the receptionist gave us a very poor room on the ground floor. The room was extremely small, unattractive, and not properly clean. What made this even more frustrating is that we have stayed in the same hotel before, booked the exact same room category, and received a much better room than this one. So it is very clear that this room was far below the normal standard for this category, despite us paying the same rate as other guests. We politely asked if it was possible to move to another room on a higher floor, but the receptionist repeatedly claimed that there were “no rooms available in the entire hotel.” Later, we checked online ourselves and clearly saw available rooms on booking websites. When we confronted her about this, she suddenly changed her explanation and said there were “no rooms in our category.” We then told her we were completely willing to pay the difference for a better room, but she refused again and said we had already used the room and that there was nobody available to clean another room. She then told us maybe we could change rooms the next day — or pay the full amount again. To make things worse, we found mosquitoes inside the room. When we informed reception, her response was basically: “I can’t do anything about it, write a complaint if you want.” The entire situation was handled with zero professionalism, zero customer care, and a very dismissive attitude. Instead of trying to solve the problem, the receptionist was rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to cooperate in any way. This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting decent service, cleanliness, or respectful treatment from staff.”

“Hotel B&B Alicante (Calle Belgica 1) is well located (bus stop, nice view at sea shore). Near there is a marvelous park (El Palmeral). It was a great start point for journeys to the city center and other towns (Santa Pola, Elche) with the public transport or Cabify. The staff at the reception desk is very helpful and nice, fluent in English. There was a 24h possibility to prepare drinks (coffee, tea, water) in the lobby. Fresh orange juice for the breakfast was delightful. I missed fresh vegetables for the breakfast (there were only tomatoes). I really enjoy my stay with the family and I can truly recommended this hotel.”

“We stayed here for one night after arriving in Alicante. The room was small and basic but very clean and it had everything we needed. Note that the twin room layout is a budget style twin room where the beds are right up against one another, rather than being separated - this could be uncomfortable if sharing with someone you don’t know well. It also makes it easy for things to fall between the beds (and hard to detect if they do). There was air conditioning in the room, which worked well, and only thin covers on the beds. There was only one pillow for each bed, also. A small mini fridge was provided, with drinking water available at reception. ||The free internet worked well. ||We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Service was pretty uninterested, but the meal itself was good and the lemon mousse was excellent. The side salad was enormous. ||The location of this hotel is close to the airport but not in Alicante itself - I made a mistake here as we thought it would be more central. The bus route is disrupted so I think you would need to take a taxi if heading into town. ||What made the hotel absolutely shine for us was Carlos at reception. My daughter’s ereader fell down that gap between the beds and she didn’t notice until we had left - fortunately just to the other side of Alicante. Carlos tracked it down for her and held it at reception until she could collect it. Thank you again, Carlos!”
